Travel With KWG

Why travel with KWG:
We know that travel to Alaska takes a lot of logistical planning. Luckily it is something we are good at! KWG has worked hard to supply easy and affordable options to get you to one of the most beautiful places on the planet. Our dates are limited so be sure to plan accordingly.

Van Shuttle Details:
Cost: $250/person
Schedule: All available van shuttles travel in the direction from Anchroage to McCarthy.  Leaves at 9 am. Arrives between 5:00 – 6:00.  To see a list of dates available, click the Anchorage to McCarthy tab above. 
Length: 8-9 hours
Luggage: Limited to 1 larger bag (suitcase, duffle, backpack), and one “lap item”. Contact KWG if you think you will have excess luggage and we can plan accordingly.
Food/Stops: Plan on taking snacks and lunch with you, otherwise we will stop to refuel in Glennallen for 30 min at the Hub of Alaska where there is the opportunity to get coffee or food.
Maximum capacity: 14ppl. All capacity will have live availability after clicking on the Book Now button.
Dogs Allowed: No, sorry

Shared Charter Flight Details:
Cost: Varries based on shared charter availability (Default is $400/person one way unless noted otherwise in the schedule)
Schedule: Varies, see schedule by clicking tab above to see what is available in the direction you wish to travel.
Length: 1.5-2 hours
Luggage: Varies based on shared charter availability.  Default is Limited to 2 larger bag (suitcase, duffle, backpack), and one “lap item” per person. *Some flights may have limited luggage and weight capacity, if this is the case, it will be noted in the schedule.
Food/Stops: Plan on eating before and/or after your flight as there is no food on the flights.
Maximum capacity: flight sizes vary from 4-9 ppl depending on type of plane used.
Dogs Allowed: No, sorry

Meeting Place:
Anchorage: Lake and Penn Air office at 1740 E. 5th Ave Anchorage, AK 99501. *There is no place to keep a car parked there, so plan to take a taxi or rideshare. If you need us to pick you up there will be an additional $20/stop.

McCarthy: Mailshack at McCarthy Airstrip, located at the north end of the airstrip. *if you need transportation to the airstrip we can arrange that for $20, waived if doing 2 or more days of activities with KWG.

How to Book:

• Do you need a pick up at your Anchorage lodging (for an additional $20) if traveling from Anchorage to McCarthy via Van?
• Do you expect to go over the luggage capacity?

We will confirm availability and send you a confirmation, in order to reserve your spot and finalize the trip, payment must be made in full.
