Packrafting Courses

Come join KWG for one of our Packrafting courses!

KWG continues to up the bar for Alaska packraft instruction with our Level 1 and Level 2 packraft instructional courses.  Both courses are 2 days in length and cover the skills that you will need to paddle through the wilderness on your own.  KWG’s location in the heart of Wrangell-St. Elias NP provides us with “in-town” wilderness access and makes these courses destination trips.

We focus on not only the hard skills needed to push deeper into the wild rivers around us, but use an interdisciplinary approach that teaches both self and group rescue techniques as well as risk management and good river decision making.
