For those who want to get the most out of their packrafting day, this trip is your chance to paddle around all those corners and really explore the glacier lake, or spend all afternoon doing laps in some whitewater.
No experience is necessary for the Full-Day Packrafting Trip.
We begin, as with the half-day, with a short hike to the glacial lake with your packraft in your 15 – 20 lb. backpack. After your boat is inflated and your guide instructs you on the basics of paddling, you’re off exploring the lake.
The full-day trip offers more time to explore this unique glacial environment via your packrafts. Take in surreal blue alcoves, bizarre glacial forms and huge teetering glacial boulders while touring the upper lake.
With a full-day we can also spend more time on instructing and practicing whitewater packrafting techniques. Learn to ferry, eddy and swim in the current along the glacier’s edge. The day finishes with a relaxing float & paddle back down the glacial lake.
This trip is a great introduction for those interested in an intro to packrafting or just looking for an amazing full-day Alaskan adventure!
