This is a 5-star alpine and ridge tour that has no rival. This route follows the high ridges and valleys that stretch from the Richardson highway to the Edgerton highway. There is no location anywhere that can offer a view of the entire Wrangell - St. Elias mountain range as amazing as this place can...from here you can simultaneously take in Mounts Sanford, Drum, Wrangell, and Blackburn, as well as a huge swath of the sprawling Copper River valley.

Once we've gotten into the alpine the real fun begins as we hike over a series of ridges and passes that make up a trail-less route through this elevated plateau. Prepare yourself for a true backcountry experience filled with eye-popping views and, if the season is right, endless handfulls of blueberries.

This is one of our toughest hikes! It features one of the longest distances combined with the most elevation gain and loss of any of our listed backpacking adventures. After this trip you'll really feel like you've gone for a hike in the mountains!

WARNING: This is an exploratory trip with no trail or set route....only the strong and adventurous should apply!
