Never
worn crampons? No problem! This course is designed to start with
the basics, such as knots, rope management, and crampon techniques,
and steadily progress through ice climbing, belaying, anchor building,
crevasse rescue, and all the other skills that are necessary to
safely explore these awe inspiring places. This course focuses on
skills that pertain mostly to ice, as the area of the glacier we
are on is well below the snow line in the summer months. |

Inherent
in this course are the general skills associated with living out
of a pack in the mountains; proper diet, clothing layering systems,
camping on the ice, and countless other tricks that make life in
the mountains much better.
