Full-scale
expeditions require a serious commitment of time, effort, and preparation.
Altitude, glacier travel, snow camping and arctic weather are some
of the joys and difficulties to be found in these big mountains.
Our accomplished mountain guides provide the instruction and assistance
necessary for a safe and memorable climbing experience. We love
teaching clients the intricacies of Alaskan mountaineering, encouraging
self-reliance, and helping them learn through first-hand experience.
We specialize in designing expeditions for those wishing to further
develop their glacier travel and mountaineering skills. Experienced,
accomplished, confident mountaineers who would like guidance to
a particular summit are welcome and encouraged to contact us for
trip ideas as well!

Unless
your'e a goat, mountaineering isn't something you just know how
to do from birth....everybody has to start somewhere! We've designed
mountaineering clinics that are aimed towards the enthusiastic beginner
that has dreamed of the freedom of the hills and is ready to take
their first steps on a glacier, make an anchor, climb on lead, and
so many other skills that comprise the diverse world of mountain
climbing. Your guides will do much more than just guide you on this
trip, they'll be your teachers as well, making sure you are a better
and more confident climber than when you began. You'll benefit from
our collective experiences as we pool all of our tricks of the trade
into concentrated clinics. Wrangell - St. Elias National Park offers
a premier jumping off point to immerse yourself in a truely remote
mountain environment and learn the "nuts and screws" of
safe climbing.

Some
mountaineers seek a climbing experience that isn't all about ice
and snow and big summits; one that includes meadows, creeks and
rivers, alpine passes, and lengthier approaches along with the satisfaction
of summiting. Do you prefer to explore the unnamed and overlooked
peaks instead of the well-known and travelled highest points? If
you're one who thinks the journey is just as important as the climb
then these trips are for you! Fly to a remote part of the park,
walk through pristine mountain wilderness, and climb atop beautiful
peaks, many unnamed and rarely climbed, if ever. Fly out, raft out,
or hike out.
