Our backyard rivals anywhere in Alaska for giant, inspiring, glaciated, dramatic landscapes, and rivals any trip within this park in terms of scenery and backpacking destinations. These are predominantly glacier trips, accessible 1.5 miles from our office in Kennicott. We travel on the white ice of the glaciers and camp on and off the ice as we move along, using them as roads through the wilderness. |

This is a place you'll never forget. It's a place where the raw, awesome powers of creation are apparent, where you'll feel as though you've been taken back to the Ice Age, where the great and primordial forces still rule. This area is defiined on a map as the dividing line between the Wrangell and St. Elias mountain ranges, a unique vantage point to be sure! Once you've been here, everything else will seem a little smaller, and you may dream every night of coming back. |

A mighty and respectable range in themselves, they span along the Gulf of Alaska from Anchorage to beyond Cordova and also contain the Bagley Ice Field, the largest non-polar ice sheet in the world. |
